What age do children start taking showers by themselves?

We have four children ages 7 months to 5 years old and I was just curious to find out what you guys thought about what age children start to take showers by themselves. We currently bathe each one of them individually and our 5 year old seems to do everything herself. I feel like I am in there to just monitor her and make sure she washes everything. Thanks for you answers!

So I remember in my preschool class that children who were doing art projects kept putting two eyes on a fish that was on it’s side. They didn’t understand that the profile of a face has only one eye showing. Does anyone know what age that children should start understanding this concept developmentally?

When children start school they have a greater chance of being helped because other people aside the abuser are around them but children under 4yrs or so don’t go to school and some don’t even go to daycare either. How could we reach those children that are not around other people to display the signs of abuse? 80% of fatalities in child abuse are children under 4yrs.

I know this woman who lives in a three bedroom apartment, and is now having twins, making it now 14 children that she has. The bedrooms are small, and have a minimum of four beds in each room, minus her and her husband’s room. I don’t think this is wise, and she may have a case soon because a majority of these kids are under 10 years old, and they are both unemployed so they can’t possibly be feeding them right.

Anyway, I’m curious as to how much children are you able to have before you can’t anymore?

My friend Sam used to be married to Ethel . They have an eleven — year — old son named Ben . Ethel is talking about moving to a new town . Sam’s worried about how he and Ben will be able to visit each other . The town Ethel’s planning to move to is in the same state as Sam . Neither Sam or Ethel make a lot of money, so they won’t be able to afford a lot of bus tickets . The intelligent thing would be for Ethel to live in the same town as Sam till Ben is eighteen . There have to be a lot of fathers who live in a different town than their children . How do they manage to visit with their children ? How often do they visit their children ? How do they stay close to their children ? What difficulties do they have ? Thank you in advance for your answers .

Is it against the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines if the custodial parent stops answering the phone when the noncustodial parent tries to call. Not just every once in a while but every time I try to call.

The father of children and I have shared custody of two children. The children and I currently live out of state but he has visitation in his state. Can I call the police if he refuses to bring them home, when the agreement states the children are to live primarily with me(mother) and that they are to be returned the day before they are to return to school? What if he drops them off at his or my parent’s home?

I’m 18. My father was extremely strict through out my upbringing and was a textbook example of authoritarian parenting. I’m shy, have no self-confidence, low self-esteem, and I’m not social. How do I break out of my shell and become the person I was supposed to be?
I’m not blaming anyone. What’s done is done. But how can I leave all of this behind? I feel crippled in a sense.

You can’t deny it, society is rapidly shifting away from religion. The more science reveals about the universe, the less role gods and the supernatural have in our perception of reality. Thanks to the internet and our education systems, most of today’s youths have a better understanding of the universe than their parents. If their parents are religious, then this will inevitably cause a lack of respect from the child towards their parent. Children disrespecting parents is the root cause of a lot of anti-social behavior in society, right? So religious parents really need to become more secular for the sake of their children and society, right?

We’re just starting the process of adoption. We have no idea what gender or age child we will adopt, nor do we care. With that said, is there one thing you wish someone would have told you about parenting or children?
